saturday at the park
a few photos! my amigos on flickr probably saw these already, but I wanted to post them here. I didn't get any nice pictures of Andrew on his birthday, so these will be his omg1year! photos. On the anniversary of one of the most amazing days of my life, I was rather mopey. I just can't believe it's been a year already. I'm constantly wishing this kid will just GROW UP and stop being such a clingy baby, but then night time comes and i find myself just staring at him sleeping, or rubbing his belly, or kissing his cheeks, or *gasp* wanting him to reach out for me to give him one last hug before he goes down for a few hours. I don't want him to grow into a cuddle-hating toddler.:(

I know exactly how you feel. I took a picture of Elliott yesterday & almost puked because he seriously looked like a teenager.
The knowledge that Otto is probably my last is literally eating me alive inside.

ahhh! we haven't made a decision like that yet. while we don't want any more children at this moment, i cannot say we won't want any in the future. i would NEVER be able to go through any sort of permanent sterilization.

I totally know what you mean. I find myself wishing away the time in hopes that I might have TWO hands again one day, but then she'll lean her head on my shoulder and I never want it to end.

who cuts it?? the last time he spent the night at his grandma's, I forgot to tell her not to even trim it and when I woke up the next morning, I was like, "holy shit! jason, call your mom NOW!" she said she was looking at it, getting ready to sit him in the high chair for a trim. EVERYONE in our family mentions hair cuts whenever they see him.

let me just keep talking:
at Easter, my aunt told Nathan she would give him a new toy, if he agreed to a hair cut. he said ok, then he took the toy and ran out saying "SUCKER! I'm not getting a hair cut!" my aunt started laughing because it was my cousin that taught him the "sucker!" line and that was the first time he successfully used it.

he likes his hair, so I usually end up telling people to back off, or just change the subject.
