I wish I could say my baby always wakes up in a fabulous mood, smiles and giggles. Alas, my Andypants is a wreck upon waking about 95% of the time. sometimes, he wakes up exactly like [[THIS]] and I LOVE it, but most times, he gives me these creepy glares:

At this particular moment, I suspect he was just PO'd I wasn't in bed with the booju right there for him when he woke up. Sorry, kid.

let me share my photoshop texture fun with you lovelies on LJ.

I found this painting at a thrift store run by the Southeast Area Ministries. it's called SeAM and their logo is a heart seamed together by a needle and thread. It's tiny, but they have a good selection of old goods there, including a crapton of vintage knitting and crochet patterns. Anywho, this is a print on some sort of metal. It's pretty.

I used like 3 different textures in Photoshop to make my wall look more interesting. It's similar to what I did with this photo of Andrew. For this photo of my feet, I used this really sweet black and white texture I found on google. It looks just like a cracked wall. I've been scouring my surroundings for anything I can take a photo of and use as a texture. Photoshop is fun again!

276: beret in progress. finished NOW, but I can't find my yarn needle, so it's not truly finished.

277: dreary sky on the way to a birthday party for Grandma.

278: picked up a project that was asleep for over a year. this is actually very similar to the first photo I took of this dodecahedron. check it.

279, today: andrew gets attacked by a green marker. wait, no, that's not right. andrew attacks a green marker. no? hmmm...oh. ok. Andrew practices his hand-eye coordination with a green marker. notice his sleepy eyes? he conked out for a bit after this. slightly hulkified hands and all.

Nathan, after school yesterday. Trying to look tough!
There's this sign a few blocks away, one of those small billboards (like, 15 feet high or something) that says "GUN SHOW" and I reeeally want to get a picture of him or Jason posing underneath it. The Gun Show was in July. I wonder how much longer it will be up.

Yesterday, we went to the park to fly this little kite Jason bought a few weeks ago. It wasn't very windy, so the kite didn't get much air. Either way, the park is nice. Today, Jason and Nathan went to the lake (Lake Somerville, if you wanted to know) with Grandma Linda. Andrew and I are flying solo and we're about to start our day with breakfast at my aunt's house. I kinda wanted to go the lake, but I've been feeling like crap lately. I had a terrible allergy attack on Friday and my throat was/is sore yesterday/today. I think I've caught a little cold. In the summer! oh well, I guess. I'm hoping my boys have fun out there.

p.s. Andrew is holding my popcam in that photo up there. I found a pack of film that I believe came in a grab bag of toys Nathan got at the thrift store. I didn't really read the package before I loaded it in the camera, but when I did, it says to "develop before 02/1992"....d'oh! I hope I get at least a few images off it. I always like the effect of expired polaroid film, but I've never used anything quite this old.
