I don't usually condone jumping on the bed, but he really wanted to and he had posed oh-so-nicely for me.

Nathan, after school yesterday. Trying to look tough!
There's this sign a few blocks away, one of those small billboards (like, 15 feet high or something) that says "GUN SHOW" and I reeeally want to get a picture of him or Jason posing underneath it. The Gun Show was in July. I wonder how much longer it will be up.
I posted a blog on goodknits about my current non-knitting project, if you're interested: http://goodknits.com/blog/2009/08/27/wh en-im-too-lazy-to-knit/

Yesterday, we went to the park to fly this little kite Jason bought a few weeks ago. It wasn't very windy, so the kite didn't get much air. Either way, the park is nice. Today, Jason and Nathan went to the lake (Lake Somerville, if you wanted to know) with Grandma Linda. Andrew and I are flying solo and we're about to start our day with breakfast at my aunt's house. I kinda wanted to go the lake, but I've been feeling like crap lately. I had a terrible allergy attack on Friday and my throat was/is sore yesterday/today. I think I've caught a little cold. In the summer! oh well, I guess. I'm hoping my boys have fun out there.

p.s. Andrew is holding my popcam in that photo up there. I found a pack of film that I believe came in a grab bag of toys Nathan got at the thrift store. I didn't really read the package before I loaded it in the camera, but when I did, it says to "develop before 02/1992"....d'oh! I hope I get at least a few images off it. I always like the effect of expired polaroid film, but I've never used anything quite this old.

I just finished uploading some photos to my flickr account. I'd post more, but I can hear Andrew getting tired of Nathan's shenanigans already. click this link to get to my flickr page.

365.87: garage sale: saturday, we spent a few hours at a garage sale at grandma's workplace. after saying goodbye, we went to dinner and then to a nearby park that had some really sweet trees. nathan likes this park only because of the slide. he must have gone down 50 times! mostly head first and most of those times i winced because i kept thinking he would kick the kid behind him.
( + a lot. it's late and bbs are sleepin' )

if you need an andrew fix, here he is being totally drama-rific! He was pissed I set him down. he looked like this about 2 minutes later.

grandpa gave him $5 to use at the thrift store. usually that means a lot of random toys in bags, but this time he found this sweet motorcycle and couldn't bear to part with it. he didn't have enough for the hat, so the lady GAVE it to him! he was so jazzed! he kept saying he was a cowboy now, even though it clearly isn't a cowboy hat.

i asked him to smile.:/

365.68: ouchies

last Saturday, he was horsing around with my cousin and made a sharp turn in a new place, introducing his eye to the edge of a desk. yeeeeouch. he didn't cry until he looked in the mirror, though.:/
365.69: my almanac

the pinwheel blanket I am working on is so monotonous and downright BORING.
so, I plucked my handy knitter's almanac off the bookshelf and started a "february baby sweater" [in March, no less!]. I love Zimmermann. This is definitely my most used knitting book.
365.70: park = no shoes

he always takes his shoes off at this park. he says shoes are too slippery for climbing slides.
( more from this day, including more vintage Fisher Price! )
365.71: late, late night

I hadn't uploaded any photos since Sunday. I didn't have any good ones until today. You can see my Project 365 days 61, 62, & 63 on my flickr by clicking here.

Nathan spent the day with grandma. They went shopping and he, of course, ended up bringing home MORE cars. *grumble*

this one came out super noisy, because I set my ISO to auto to catch the action. the sun was setting, so it wasn't as bright as early on. ANYWAY, doesn't this make your mama-heart skip a beat? how are dads so confident?
we went to clear lake park, today. The day started off very sunny and kinda warm. The boys had one shorts and tshirts and I didn't even have to wear a sweater. By the time we arrived at the park, after stopping at a few thrift stores, it was quite windy and getting chilly! Nathan still wanted to play, of course, so I put Andrew's sweater on and we played until the sun started setting and the temperature dropped. ( on our way & there )
